Larry Hudson taught band in the Medford, Oregon schools for 30 years, and spent 25 years teaching the Trumpet Studio and working with education majors at Southern Oregon University. He sits on the Board of Directors for the Western International Band Clinic where he serves as the Master of Ceremonies. His bands have been featured twice at WIBC as well as the Oregon Music Educators State Convention.
Upon retirement, Mr. Hudson began a consulting business, “Educators EMT”, (Educators Musical techniques) providing school districts and music teachers with staff development, teaching methods, materials, curriculum development, and evaluation services. He has conducted honor bands in California, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska and clinics throughout the Western States, Florida, Maine and South Carolina. He holds a BS degree in music education and a Master’s in Trumpet Performance and Literature.
Mr. Hudson was in his 6th year of retirement when he accepted the position of band director with the Placerville Union School District. It is this position that brought him to the Sacramento area and the SSW.
