Sacramento Symphonic Winds' Small Ensembles

Many of the members of the Sacramento Symphonic Winds perform in small instrumental ensembles as well. These smaller groups perform independently from our full symphonic band and are typically available to provide music for weddings, funerals, parties, events, conventions, etc. where a smaller, more intimate musical experience is appropriate.

Flutations

Flutations plays music for any occasion.

Our musical style is varied and includes classical, jazz, and popular. Perfect for any indoor or outdoor occasion including weddings, anniversaries, garden parties, or other special celebrations.

We serve the entire Sacramento Valley Region.

The M.A.D.Saxes

The M.A.D.S.axes, saxophone quartet, plays a variety of music, ranging from Dixieland jazz, ragtime, show-tunes, jazz standards, to classical pieces.

We pride ourselves on playing our arrangements at a professional level, but are also casual and we choose our music with the audience in mind for easy listening.

Sacramento Brass Quintet

The Sacramento Brass Quintet was formed in 2010 and is comprised entirely of musicians from the Sacramento Symphonic Winds. From its inception The Sacramento Brass Quintet's objective has been to perform in smaller forums providing its members the ability to feature their respective instruments.

Sacramento Brass Quintet members include, Maurice Montgomery – trumpet,   Les Corbin – trumpet,   Dave Ahrens – horn,   Les Lehr – trombone   and Bruce Nye – tuba.
We have all played professionally in differing degrees and have the ability to play a wide variety of musical styles including classical, jazz and contemporary music as written for quintet.

The Sacramento Brass Quintet can provide provide a unique musical atmosphere for corporate events, holiday celebrations, weddings, anniversaries, art shows or any special occasion.

Toot Sweet Brass Co.

Toot Sweet Brass Co. is a quintet of professional and semi-professional brass musicians featuring Mike Koons and Eric Rose, trumpets; Diana Haynie, horn; George Preston, euphonium; and Rudy Stubbs, tuba.


Founded in 2008, we play contemporary pieces written for brass quintet as well as arrangements of older and modern classics.


With our variety of music and virtuoso interpretations, we bring an enjoyably different meaning to the concept of "chamber music."
